The Japanese auto manufacturers have not left a stone unturned when designing the engine dynamics of Toyota Camry. They have provided the world class petrol engine in this machine. The sedan comes in only petrol variant. The 2.5 litre, 4 inline cylinder gasoline 16 valve DOHC VVTi petrol engine is capable of generating a maximum power of 181bhp at 6000rpm and a maximum torque of 233Nm at 4100rpm. The six speed transmission comes in manual as well as automatic variant.


The Anti-Lock Braking System with Electronic Brake Force Distribution and Brake Assist in Toyota Camry ensure the safety of both the passengers and the car while sudden braking. The six airbags are evenly distributed in the sedan, providing one each for the driver and the co-passenger, two for the sides and two assembled as curtains. The seats are upholstered with energy absorbing material for ensuring safety of the passengers all through the drive. In addition to this, the fog lamp at the front and the rear view mirror, which is electro-chromatic, adds to the safety of the passengers within at day and night and even in adverse conditions.
