All new Jaguar F-Pace Review

The All new Jaguar F-Pace takes the Jaguar DNA of legendary performance, handling and luxury, and adds practicality and space. The technologically advanced F-PACE is a performance SUV with maximum driving exhilaration. It also delivers state-of-the-art technology and connectivity. F-PACE has the performance for every road and the capacity for every day. A Jaguar for the driver, a Jaguar for the active lifestyle.

As far as the design is concerned the front end retains the theme of the XF, with a collection of mesh grilles and LED underlining on the headlamps it’s all arranged on a taller plane. The side view is sleeker than many SUVs in its class, long vents pierce the front fenders, and the side glass tapers steeply as it falls from the front doors to the small third-light windows.

The F-Pace will gets the engine choice between two supercharged, 3.0-liter V-6 engines–aluminum engines with a 90-degree vee and Rootes-type supercharging, as well as direct injection. In lower tune, the F-Pace will turn out 340 horsepower, in higher performance trim, it’ll make 380 horsepower. Both versions will be teamed with an eight-speed automatic with paddle shift controls on S models.

A turbo diesel 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine will also be offered in the F-Pace. Part of a new family of British-made four cylinder power house, the diesel will put out 180 horsepower and 317 pound-feet of torque.

The F-Pace has a long list of safety hardware and technology. In addition to the usual airbags and stability control, the F-Pace has a low speed traction-control system that can launch it more smoothly on ice or slippery surfaces by balancing brake and throttle. It also has forward collision warnings with automatic braking and pedestrian detection, all made possible by a set of stereo cameras set behind the windshield. On the options list: adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go control; lane-keeping and lane-departure warning systems; a laser-projected head-up display; blind-spot monitors with cross-traffic alerts; and automatic parking assistance.

All 2017 F-Pace SUVs at launch will come standard with a supercharged six, an automatic transmission, and all-wheel drive.Offered in five trim levels–base, Premium, Prestige, R-Sport, and S–the F-Pace carries a base price of $43,385 including destination; the F-Pace S is priced from $57,695. All versions include Jaguar Elite Care, a five-year/60,000-mile limited warranty with free roadside assistance and maintenance for its term.
