BMW 3 Series

The 320i and 330i are the petrol variants offered by this series which produces a maximum torque of 200 Nm at 3600rpm and 300 Nm at 4000 rpm respectively. The 320i variant has four cylinders of 2.0 L which offers an engine power of 115KW and the 330i variant has six cylinders of 3.0 L, which offers an engine power of 190KW. The on-road price for this series, including; petrol and diesel variants, ranges from Rs. 28.9 – 66.2 lakhs.

Exterior

The front radiator grille of the BMW 3 Series is kidney shaped, which is yet another signature mark apart from their logo. The radiator grille has 11 slats which have a chrome finishing. The black colored air intake provides a glossy outlook to the car. The xenon powered headlamps is embedded in the large and aggressive headlight cluster which provides both low and high beams. More advanced features and technologies are used in the headlight cluster as well. They have four LED light rings around them. The fog lamps are embedded on the front bumper which is body colored and is given glossy profile to the surrounding as well to match with the designer look of the car. The overall length of the car is 4624mm, width is 2031mm and height is 1429mm. The ground clearance offered by this car is 140mm.

Interior

The exceptionally comfortable interior spacing and the luxurious seat arrangements makes BMW 3 Series outstanding from the rest of the cars which fall under this category. The spacious legroom, shoulder room and headroom give an ultimate driving experience to all of the passengers. The car is designed to comfortably fit five passengers. The aluminum finished door sill has a BMW logo on the front. The interior design includes wood trim which is burled with walnut inlays together with pearl gloss chrome to make the interior rather more fascinating and exceptional. Dakota Black leather and Move cloth Amber are the two variant options from which the customers can choose from. The steering wheel, gear lever and hand brake area are covered with the leather upholstery. The AC units and the radio controls embedded in the central console have a glossy chrome trim which add detail to it. Speedometer, Rev counter, fuel gauge, oil temperature, other displays which provide outside temperature and on-board computer functions together constitute the central console.

Engine & Performance

BMW 3 Series comes in three engine options; two variants for a twin-scroll turbocharger petrol engine (320i and 330i) and one variant for diesel engine. The 320i engine is powered with a 1997cc petrol engine capable of producing a maximum power of 245bhp at 5000-6500rpm and a maximum torque of 200Nm at 3600rpm whereas the 330i engine generates a peak power of 405bhp at 6600rpm and a peak torque of 300Nm at 2500-4000rpm. The diesel variant comes in 8-speed automatic transmission gearbox displacing 1995cc and produces a maximum power of 184bhp at 4000rpm and a maximum torque of 380Nm at 1750-2750rpm.

The BMW 3 Series has all the safety features to ensure an ultimate driving experience and maximum comfort to the passengers. Air bags are provided for the driver and co-passenger.  Head airbags for the rear passengers, Antilock Braking System, Dynamic Traction Control, Concerning Brake Control, Integrated side impact protection, Run Flat Indicator, Bumper with aluminum and steel impact absorbers, Safety Battery terminal clamp, ergonomic seat belt system, inertia rear seat belt and warning triangle with first aid kit are some of the safety features which is ensuring safety to the passengers. In addition to these features, 3 point seat belt for all of the rear seat passengers, belt tensioners and belt force limiter are also provided to ensure high class safety to the passengers.
