Tata Indigo e-CS is the best option for all those who are out there, in pursuing for purchasing a sedan for not more than 5 lakhs. The Tata Indigo e-CS was launched in the Auto Expo 2008 by Tata Motors in New Delhi. In order to enjoy the tax benefits for a small car for the maximum, the Tata Indigo e-CS has cut short their actual length for the sedan. As a result of diminishing the overall size of the sedan, this model is regarded as the ‘World’s Most Compact Sedan’. What makes this model exclusively stand besides the other models is the incorporating of the new features like headlamps, alloy wheel, rear lamps, front grille, indicators etc. The on road rate for this model ranges between Rs. 4.81 Lakhs and 6.19 Lakhs.

The signature style of the car is however, never modified besides the frequent feedbacks and tests. The CR4 diesel motor makes this sedan to become the most proficient and cost effective diesel car in India. Bumpers with body color, headlamps within dual chambers and the sleekest paint finish are what make this sedan capture attention of people. Besides all these features, this sedan is quite eco-friendly too. The all new classy front grille of this sedan makes the vehicle unique of features. Both the bumper and the rub tail are body colored and the latter includes chromium linings, and the wing mirrors together with the gauge makes the sedan stand aside from other sedans. The overall dimensions of the sedan are: length 3988mm, width 1620mm and height of 1540mm. The wheel base is 2450mm and ground clearance is 165mm.

The inside of the Tata Indigo e-CS is made more classy with an off white color, rather than the usual black gray shades, that is commonly  available in the market. The beautifully upholstered fabric seats ensure that the passengers enjoy their ride to the fullest. Fabric inserts are embedded in each of the door trims and the central console involves has control of all the four power windows. However, separate controls for each of the windows are present on the panel of the appropriate doors. Altogether, the Tata Indigo e-CS is the best car for all those who are looking for the perfect sedan that is stuffed with features.

Engine & Performance

Tata Indigo e-CS has three engine variants; one petrol and two diesel variants. The petrol variant is available with timing controlled Multi Point Fuel Injection (MPFI) system which gives a displacement of 1193cc producing power of 65bhp and torque of 100Nm at 2700 rpm. The diesel variants come in two options – CR4 and TDI. The 16 valve Common Rail CR4 BSIV engine has a displacement of 1396cc producing 70bhp of power at 4000rpm and 140Nm of torque at 1800-3100rpm. The TDI BSIII is a turbo charged engine integrated with an intercooler producing a power of 70bhp at 4500rpm and torque of 135Nm at 2500rpm.

Safety

Like any other new generation cars, the Tata Indigo e-CS also incorporates all the safety features to ensure the safety of the passengers. Central locking feature and anti-lock braking system are the key features that make the car most secured apart from others. The ABS makes sure that the car is not misplaced as a result of application of extreme force on the brakes. In order to avoid serious head damage after a crash, airbags and engine immobilizers are also interested in safety feature of this sedan. In addition to all the safety features, the remote keyless entry makes the car to be more secure than the rest of the competitors. In addition to the safety features, the child lock system makes the sedan even more secure than the rest.
